The phenomenon of recorded sound can bring about the impression that our experiences of music are predictable and repeatable. This album aims to distance itself from that perception. Our Luddite Dreams is an ever-changing collection of pieces for piano. The compositions involve a large amount of improvisation, and therefore can be significantly different from performance to performance. Rather than release one recorded version of each piece, I have decided to release an album that alters itself daily. Each piece has a unique algorithm that selects from a pool of different recorded versions and in some circumstances applies some processing. Each time you download it, the files will be different in sometimes drastic ways. Enjoy!
